Meet The Squid

I hold an aspect of a dream of what the earth could one day look like, and my true purpose is to put into operation the aspect of that dream I hold. What it will become is beyond my single life and that brings me joy

Founded by Sydney Jones—a certified project manager with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall expertise—our founder brings a unique perspective shaped by her background in public service, combined with extensive experience with numerous high-value construction projects
Growing up immersed in the world of luxury home building, Sydney’s family has worked in the construction industry her entire life, giving her an early, deep-rooted understanding of high-end craftsmanship, client expectations, and the intricacies of custom residential projects. This foundation was further strengthened by her own previous business venture, where she partnered with two others in construction-related services. That experience highlighted the challenges women face in male-dominated spaces and inspired her to launch a women-led movement—one that prioritizes female advocacy, empathy, and inclusive leadership to create truly supportive environments for clients and tradeswomen alike.

With over 5 years as a Construction Project Manager, Sydney has led numerous high-value residential projects—including emergency restoration (Paul Davis Restoration, Servpro) and pool renovations (Pearl Pools Plastering)—achieving consistent compliance (zero permitting violations), vendor cost savings, strict OSHA safety adherence, and multiple 5-star homeowner reviews for outstanding communication and results. She further honed her expertise as the Executive Director of Real Estate and Historic Preservation at a Durham-based nonprofit, where she oversaw property profiles, capital improvements, lease management, emergency response protocols, digital incident reporting, full construction oversight (retrofits, new builds, budgeting, permitting, procurement), SOP development, and team leadership—ensuring compliant, community-focused preservation and development.
Certified in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, Sydney excels at full-lifecycle oversight. With a passion for design and artistry, She takes joy in helping make others dreams come to life.
Her background as a certified Paramedic and Firefighter and a recipient of the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award infuses her work with empathy, rapid response, and an unwavering focus on safety—qualities that make her an ideal advocate during vulnerable home projects.
